Eating Silence

Eating Silence

I am reading about silence…
there it is,
the spaces between the ellipses,
the quiet moments.
Not a semicolon moment,
not an em dash moment,
not a full stop periodic moment.
A full meal of a moment
replete with fine china
and silverware
and a linen napkin with jade holders                                                    and heavy crystal water glasses.
I know this is not the usual way to define ellipses,
but it is my meal.
You are invited to eat
and the only grumbling allowed
is from your gut.
Go ahead.
Eat the silence.

Get Retro with RSS

RSS is my main channel for gathering information on the web…by far.  I use Inoreader and I pay for it.  I like the developer and I like how their support has been unfailing.  For some reason I have had a hard time getting my peers and my students to adopt it even though there are some excellent and free RSS aggregators including the free version of Inoreader.  (Here is a link to some other choices.)

One of my fav RSS feeds is a Twitter list:  Dave Gray’s Conversational List.

If I want to keep track of that list, I can just click on my Inoreader extension and it will gobble up that feed.

You can also take the feed and create what Inoreader calls an “html clip” where you can gather an embed code as below:

Simplify, simplify, simplify.
