“Don’t Piss on My Leg and Tell Me It’s Raining.”

Everything made legible and under control. An urban space means no roosters. Let’s confine the noise and chaos of domesticated critters to the rurals just like we do with the confined animal feeding operations (CAFO). All the noise and stank and death away from me by God. Not in my backyard—literally. Let’s confine the rurals to the rurals, too.
Read this incredibly dark post at zero hedge . (No, stop and read it. Yeah, it’s hard to stomach, but read it anyway and catch a glimmer of understanding.) Now, consider the graphic below.
If you live in a city, we rurals are out of sight and out of our minds and we are likely coming to an urban area near you—soon—uninvited. And we’ll be bringing problems with us way bigger than roosters in the backyard.

The article about rural America and how it differs from urban America is a fascinating read, as are the maps created by Mark Newman. I found another site today that you and #clmooc should be familiar with. This page uses network analysis tools to create a map of different curriculum disciplines. http://curriculumredesign.org/ccrknowledgenavigatornetwork/#

I’m going to write about this over the next few days, but I’ve been trying to find people who’d create a similar map of the web library I’ve been building for over 20 years. Here’s my concept map showing the full library. http://tinyurl.com/TMI-libraryFull

Here’s a condensed version showing the 4 sections. It also has a link to an animation done by interns in 2009. http://tinyurl.com/TMI-library

I share these because someone in rural America needs to be duplicating my efforts, with a focus on rural America and it’s challenges and the organizations who are trying to overcome those challenges.

Someone also needs to be hosting cMOOCs and all sorts of other interactive events with the goal of getting people within the organizations shown on the maps to talk to each other and build relationships like some of the people are via the #clmooc process.

The Cubs are in the World Series and my latest article talks about building great youth support teams, using the same strategies that are used to build great sports teams. http://tutormentor.blogspot.com/2016/10/cubs-win-lets-talk-about-building-great.html

Too few people are sharing the same ideas and trying to make this happen…in urban areas or rural areas.
