Kid Mojo Rising

I am reminded of a conversation my wife had with our daughter-in-law, Hannah, as we watched our granddaughter in a video chat streak bare-assed nekkid across the screen. My wife didn’t want her to ever lose that child moxie and fearlessness. I called it ‘kid mojo’. It is especially vulnerable for girls in our culture.

Then I saw this image

I want our granddaughter to have this kind of mojo.

Then I had a creative vision of a movie where the opening scene is an extreme close up of a young girl like this carefully combing her hair into that crooked and cool part you see above. Later in the movie as an adult we see her part change to a ‘perfect’ straight one like everyone else has. The story comes from filling in the blanks about what happened to her girl mojo…and how she gets it back.

Just a stray thought I did not want to get away.
