Rhapsodies Across the Atlantic

Simon (@sensor63) created this video in this tweet in response to one of my tweets. Did he know he had created a poetry machine?  Probably.

I did a close read of his response but not before I had to slow it down. See the slower version below:

I used the slowed down version of Simon’s vid/gif as a poem generator. I simply let the stream of color and text wash over me like the Muse, words and tone reaching out and choosing me. Here is the resulting draft.

Last night,

windwindwind wild wind.

Please stay friend,

do or say,

but stay,

stay free

to wrestle

my bad dreams,

both lost and won,

one long goodbye,

a “so long”

to sweet sweet true love

her young blue eyes

parked

like a sheltered,

heavy remember.

I hear, too,

Tin Pan Alley songs:

bridging

refraining

chorusing

rhapsodies

in blue.
