The Rich
throw rolls of pennies
at us.
They spark
when they strike,
copper tattoo bruise.
Bad.
I pray
that some fine day
the Rich
will be sorry,
but by then
it will be far too late.

A few years ago I read Thucydides’ History of the Peloponnesian War, along with a few others.
I took notes and posted them on this page. https://paper.dropbox.com/doc/Notes-on-The-Landmark-Thucydides-history-of-The-Peloponnesian-War–B7XSaqRE5okw4SZJ77LVyBwoAg-pzTdZqh914uAidywOz7Jp
On page 43 was this quote: “For it has always been the law that the weaker should be subject to the stronger.”
That was 2500 years ago. Not much has changed.

Yes. And it all depends on what we mean by ‘weaker’ and ‘stronger’ and ‘law’. Never forget that Greeks believed in slavery, just like billionaires do.

Great notes, Dan.
