Here is a poem I have worked out this morning to include in my post below. You can annotate the poem on the post using Hypothes.is or you can do what I am calling “innotation” within this etherpad. I don’t know if there is any difference between the two, but I am hoping some readers can let me know whether it is different OR whether it is a distinction without a difference.
Dictionaries, Like Canaries in the Coal Mine
I prefer to look
for words I don’t know
in the pith and spine of a dead tree:
the riff of pages
the algorithm of alphabet
the sniff of glue and dark ink.
I prefer these analog assaults
to my senses,
Prefer them to the frictionless
ease
of
one
unloveable
click.
Here is the etherpad version with the innotations.

Not sure what you need here, Sheri. How can I help?
