Playing with Soundslides and sharing with the great developer there, Joe Weiss. I made this below from bits and pieces of recent phone activity.
Here was my comment to Joe when he asked some questions in a recent forum.
What are people doing with their exported slide show videos? And can we make that next step easier?
1. Because I know I can upload images and mp3’s, I often record vids on my phone for no other reason is that they might be grist for the mill of Soundslides. I upload to my mac via airplay, but my sound files I have to save from QuickTime as mp3 only. I know that I could just record sound but why bother if I can have both sound and video and then strip out sound later.
2.Here’s a recent quick take on windchimes and some photos I took recently: “Cosmos 2 Cosmos”
3.BTW–the embed icon in this rich text editing box generates this when I press it:Preformatted textI would have happily shown you the embedded YT vid
4.The YT upload will help with workflow for me. I think it might be the difference between work and play for me. If I have to do the upload myself, might seem more like work. If it is done with one click, then that would be play and might encourage me to spend more time making Soundslides for other venues like tiktok, instagram, et al. I am at the end of a fairly slow DSL (8.0 up/1.0 down) so any automating helps since anything I do is gonna be fairly slow go.
And again, thank you. Love the steady progress in bringing your Titanic from the bed of the ocean.
Terry
Keeping in touch with developers is a real treat for me. I am a user and really love to get the inside baseball. Thanks, Joe. And the rest of you–get busy Soundsliding.

I love how you keep using the platform (me, too, but not enough) and then write the developer as live-user-feedback, and meanwhile, your pieces are part of a larger exploration of the world.

I appreciate these breeches of the tech sabbatical. Means a lot to me.
