I stumbled across this in the middle of my morning internet ablutions: everything is everything.
It occurs to me that the blog that posted this gem was being ironic, but I didn’t leave that to chance as I wrote this tweet:
If everything is a lesson & the lesson “that everything is a lesson” is a lesson, then logically, everything is everything. Is this the state of affairs among edu-consulto-preneurs? https://t.co/U408Dzl7s1 #clmooc #nwpstudio An antidote? Truth dawg. https://t.co/LBq8XycX4y pic.twitter.com/6oHKRB7AIo

Circle Round the “Truth Dawg” in the Middle
If everything
is a lesson
And the lesson
“that everything is a lesson”
is a lesson,
then, logically,
everything is everything
and
nothing is nothing.
What is the antidote
to this kind of
circular fallacy?
Truth dawg.
Truth.
And part of that truth is to listen to Lauryn Hill’s “Everything Is Everything”. It uses the power of song to break out of the circle of education and into “truth dawg” of knowing.
