I am reading a book by Edward Tenner, Why Things Bite Back: Technology and the Revenge of Unintended Consequences. Early on Tenner defines what he means by “revenge effect” Here is an excerpt early on in the book that struck my fancy. I am reading it aloud below with some commentary as well.
