I have been randomly paging through and reading Kyle Schwartz’s deep dive into empathy, I Wish My Teacher Knew.
It is hard to read in some ways because it exposes me for the empathy-starved imposter that I often feel when I realize how little I know about those I am charged to help in my classes. It is a balm to read because it shows how we can embrace the suck that is modern teaching with some hope and more.
