On the Occasion of my Yearly Physical
They took my blood,
I don’t know where.
They stole my electrons,
I don’t know how many.
They broke into my self
and filled their unholy vials
with information incarnidine.
A sacramental offering
to render me whole?
How so if they discriminate
and make me less?
I ask you.

This year I’ve had blood drawn by my cardiologist and by a lung specialist. I see my regular doctor next week. I don’t know if she’ll want more blood. Why mysteries are they going to find?
Take care, my friend. Let’s hope you’re able to enjoy these annual check-ups for many, many more years!
